Local Carpet Cleaning

Regular Vacuuming, although essential is not enough to keep your Carpets in the best condition. The reason is that domestic vacuum cleaners are unable to reach down and lift the dirt and residue left behind from everyday activities such as eating, drinking and having pets. So what happens to that dirt? It stays there, helping to contaminate the atmosphere of your home or office.

To deal with this you need a commercial grade vacuum cleaner which has a lot more power to remove a majority of the surface soil, followed by a professional wet extraction process to remove oil and greasy contaminants and freshen up your carpet. Local carpet cleaning from a professional makes all the difference.

  • Health benefits for you and your family
    • Carpets trap airborne pollutants; however, professional cleaning can remove these pollutants which protects the carpet and helps maintain indoor air quality. This is a major issues, especially if your suffer from Asthma or other similar allergies.
    • Professional carpet cleaning prevents buildup of allergens and bacteria which thrive in moist environments such as carpets.
  • Prolong the life of your carpet
    • Regular professional cleaning will help remove more deep rooted carpet issues which cannot be addressed by your regular vacuuming routine. Dealing with these deeper issues will ensure that your vacuuming is more efficient and removes a majority of the surface soil.
    • Some warranties expect you to maintain and clean your carpet for it to be valid. They usually stipulate every 12 – 18 months.
    • Important in a commercial environment where your image is important. A clean carpet speaks volumes.
  • Remove smells and unsightly stains using wet extraction method.
    • General issues such as food or drink spillage or pet urination can be dealt with using this method (assuming fibre and construction allows)

So what does the ATR Carpet Cleaning process involve?

Survey carried out

We will arrive on time at your house or premises and conduct a pre clean survey of the fibres and construction of the carpet. We will extract a tiny example of the fibres to carry out a burn test. This will show us what type of fibre is involved. We will also carry out swab tests to ensure there are no colour bleed or crocking issues preventing us from carrying out the clean. This process is essential to ensure the correct method and chemicals are used.

Explain the survey results to you.

We will manage your expectations with regards to any stains we feel there is no realistic chance of removing. We will also advise on estimated drying times. A specific quote will be given for you to agree to.

Start the Clean

We will wear overshoes whilst in your house or premises, and put down coverings on which any cleaning equipment will be placed. The appropriate cleaning method will be used as decided by the survey results.

Make sure you are happy and accept payment

After the work is complete we will advise on drying times, dispose of extracted water in your toilet (this is a legal requirement to ensure it goes to the sewer system). finally when you are happy we will accept payment in cash or card via a card reader.

What machines do we use?

For Wet Extraction we use
Powr-Flite PFX1085EAW-2UK Extractor – The Super Charged Portable Extractor with more Power than any other system currently available in the market today!

This ensures that the drying time is brought down to a minimum.

We also use commercial grade Sebo upright Vacuum Cleaners and professional Agitators for use with Low Moisture methods.

How often should I get my carpets cleaned?

We would recommend every 12 – 18 months to extend the life of your carpets. Some carpet warranties will insist on this.

Are you insured?

Yes we have £5,000,000 of Public Liability Insurance bespoke to the Carpet Cleaning industry. Please ask if you would like to see the certificate.

What about heavy furniture?

We will move any light furniture such as chairs, sofas, light tables but unable to move heavier furniture for health and safety reasons. We would respectfully ask that you move any childrens or pet toys , shoes etc before arrival.

Are the removal of stains guaranteed?

Stain removal cannot be guaranteed because of the number of variables involved. Some stains are of considerable age and permanent damage has already been done. Extensive use of home remedies can actually make matters worse. We will advise and manage your expectations at the survey stage and ask you to sign a waiver if you would like us to attempt to remove the stain.

How long will the drying time be?

This will vary depending on the method used. If time is of the essence then we would advise a Low Moisture method although this will not provide a completely deep clean. The machine used for Wet Extraction is the best in the market and brings traditional drying times down considerably.
